May 2021 in Review

Updated: Jan 14, 2022

After the last few months of way over average reading, I slowed down exponentially this month, mainly because I was extremely busy planning out this blog.

On the plus side, I have started receiving access to ARCs which is an exciting privilege to have. As you may have seen, I love going more in-depth with my reviews rather than given a general overall statement. So I do hope that my reviews will be beneficial not only for me as a reviewer but for the authors and publishing companies as well.

On to the statistics!

I read a total of 9 books, 3 audiobooks, 13 volumes of manga, and 1 graphic novel for a total of 26 books and roughly 7,124 pages.

I ended up DNFing 5 books this month. Here are all the books I DNFed this month and why:

  • NOS4A2 by Joe Hill - realized that this wasn't a book for me

  • The Rage of Dragons by Evan Winter - wasn't getting into it

  • The Absolute Book by Elizabeth Knox - didn't seem like I would like it

  • Blood Type Love by Kenaz - was not for me

  • MADK Vol.1 by Ryo Sumiyoshi - way out of my comfort field
