August 2021 in Review
I had a kind of successful month. I didn't read as much as I would have liked, but I still read a decent amount. I spent a good majority of the month reading books that I ended up DNFing in the end, and thus wasted a lot of my reading time.
I also took a bit of a break at the end of the month as I finished reading all the books I had planned on reading. I think taking the bit of time off will help me in September since I am planning to do some readathons (which means more reading for me).
On to the statistics!
I read a total of 5 books, 3 audiobooks, and 1 webcomic for a total of 9 books and roughly 3,520 pages.
I ended up DNFing a pretty good amount of books this month, 5 in total to be exact. If I wasn't feeling anything particularly strong about the book, I decided to just give up early on and save myself the trouble. Here are all the books that I ended up putting down:
The Light of the Midnight Stars by Rena Rossner
The Golem and the Jinni by Helene Wecker
The Hunting Party by Lucy Foley
Certain Dark Things by Silvia Moreno-Garcia
Malamander by Thomas Taylor
