With a tagline like 'a high fantasy novel with low stakes', you had me immediately intrigued.

I am sad and disappointed that this book let me down a bit.

I reread the Twilight Saga to see whether or not adult me still enjoys it. (I don't have high hopes).

I didn't really know much about this series going into it, but I was in the mood for a period piece and reviews for this were positive.
