January 2021 Releases

A new year means 12 months of brand new books. One of my goals for this year would be to read more new releases, ideally in the month that they were released. To make things more organized, I compiled a list of all the books that interest me that are released each month.


Here are all the new releases in January that are on my radar.

A picture book following a young girl on her journey to self-love and empowerment.

Doors of Sleep by Tim Pratt


A sci-fi novel that asks the question: what would you do if you woke up and found yourself in a parallel universe under an alien sky?

The Effort by Claire Holroyde

Wench by Maxine Kaplan


A YA epic fantasy following the adventures of a tavern wench.

Cast in Firelight by Dana Swift


The first installment in the Wickery duology which follows two royal heirs who are set to be married but whose loyalties are torn.

Amari and the Night Brothers by B.B. Alston


The first novel in the fantasy MG series Supernatural Investigations, this follows Amari who has to solve the disappearance of her older brother.

Don't Tell a Soul by Kirsten Miller


A standalone horror story about the new girl in an old town full of dark secrets.
